3. Between cities: KTX & intercity buses
The KTX high-speed rail is the fastest way between major cities — Seoul to Busan in about 2.5 hours, with frequent departures. Intercity and express buses reach smaller towns the train doesn't, are comfortable, and are often cheaper — book at terminals or via bus apps.
4. Taxis
Taxis are metered and reasonably priced. The easiest way to hail one (and avoid language barriers over your destination) is the Kakao T app, which lets you set a pin and pay by card. Regular taxis also accept T-money and credit cards. Late-night fares carry a surcharge.
5. Airport transfers
From Incheon International Airport (ICN), the AREX Express Train reaches Seoul Station in about 45 minutes; the all-stop AREX and limousine buses are cheaper and serve many neighborhoods directly. Gimpo (GMP) connects to the city by subway. Buy a T-money card at the airport before you head into town.
